Message from the H.O.D

Dr. Taiye Benjamin Ajibola , (H.O.D, Department of Physics)

You are welcome to the Physics Department, University of Ilorin. The Department since her inception in 1977 has grown to be one of the best Departments of Physics in Nigeria. The Pioneer Head of the Department is Emeritus Professor Theophilus Olatunde Aro, who with Late Prof. John Otunola Oyinloye (who was Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin from 1993 – 1997), late Prof. David Kolawole Bamgboye and other reputable local and international scholars built the department to become the icon of Physics Teaching and Research in Nigeria. The Department has internationally acknowledged experts in Space Physics, Upper and Lower Atmosphere Physics, Environmental Physics, Communications and Ionospheric Physics.
