Biography

Muyiwa Michael OROSUN is a Lecturer II in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with a decade of years of university teaching, research, and administrative experience.

His research interest covers assessment of the effects of ionizing radiation on biological materials, Environmental Radioactivity, Radiation Protection, Monitoring of Potentially Toxic Elements, Health Risk Assessment, Environmental Health and Toxicology, Radioecology, Remediation and Management of Polluted sites. He has to his credit over eighty publications in reputable outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings and chapters in book. He is a reviewer of several journals including Exposure and Health, Heliyon, Journal of Hazardous Materials, etc, Editorial Board member of Elsevier’s Heliyon and Journal of the Nigerian Society of Physical Science. He is currently supervising two Masters’ dissertations. Dr. Orosun has won several academic awards and grants, and he is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
