Muyiwa Michael OROSUN is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with over a decade of years of university teaching, research, and administrative experience.

He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree (B. Tech. Physics) with First Class Honours (summa cum laude) and Masters of Technology (M. Tech. Environmental Geophysics) with Distinction (summa cum laude) from the Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola; Master of Science (MSc. Medical/Health Physics) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife; and Ph.D. Physics (Radiation and Health Physics) from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. His research interest covers Radioecology (Assessment of the effects of ionizing radiation on biological materials, Environmental Radioactivity, and Radiation Protection), Monitoring of Potentially Toxic Elements, Health Risk Assessment, Environmental Health and Toxicology, Remediation and Management of Polluted sites. He has to his credit over one-hundred (100) publications in reputable outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings and chapters in a book. He is reviewer of several journals such as Exposure and Health; Heliyon, Journal of Hazardous Materials; Environmental Science and Pollution Research etc and an Editorial Board member of Elsevier’s Heliyon (as Editor), Journal of the Nigerian Society of Physical Science (as Section Editor-in-chief), and Ilorin Journal journal of Science (as Associate Editor). He is currently supervising one Ph.D and two Masters’ dissertations. He has equally won several academic awards and grants. Dr Orosun is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
