Biography

Aderemi Babatunde Alabi, is a Professor in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin, with about 2 decades of university teaching, research and administrative experience.

He has served as the Head of Department and Faculty representative to senate. His area of research is Solid State Physics and Materials Science with interest in synthesis and characterization of semiconductor materials for application in fabrication of energy conversion/energy storage devices, energy generation with the use of biomass, waste conversion for production of composite materials, remediation of polluted water through photocatalysis and fabrication of photodetector of electromagnetic radiation and monitoring.

He has published with other co-authors and researchers over seventy (70) articles in reputable journals. Professor Alabi is a member of the Materials Science and Technology Society of Nigeria, the International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD), USA. He got a third place poster award at the 2016 ICDD.
